Kiinu, off the Perimeter
Kiinu Gaming Centre is run by Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation. It sits on Highway 6, 2 km off the Perimeter, about 15 km north of Assiniboia Downs. The hall has 40 VLT machines and 25 staff. Hours run 10:30 am to 2:15 am Monday through Saturday and 12:00 pm to 12:00 am Sunday, and it is open 365 days. Saturday's late finish lands early on Sunday morning.
Its mailing address is Box 142, Rosser, Manitoba R0H 1E0, under the name Kiinu Oasis Gaming Centre. The phone number is (204) 633-0067. Holiday hours are not given here, so check them with the venue. Kiinu has no published coordinates, and this guide computes no distance for it.

Niichi, on Highway 201
Niichi Oasis Gaming Centre stands on the Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation main reserve, on Highway 201 east of Letellier. It has 30 VLT machines, a 400-seat bingo hall and 20 staff. Hours are 10:30 am to 2:15 am Monday through Saturday and 12:00 pm to 12:00 am Sunday. Check holiday hours with the venue itself.
From Winnipeg City Hall, Niichi is 85.5 km away in a straight line. Of the venues in this guide, it is the nearest to Altona, Morris, Winkler and Morden. The straight-line figures are Altona 23.6 km, Morris 26.1 km, Winkler 51.2 km and Morden 63.1 km. Those are straight lines, not driving distances.
Swan Lake #7
Swan Lake First Nation Gaming Centre #7 has 30 VLT terminals and sells coffee, cigarettes and confection. It opens Monday to Thursday 10:00 am to 1:00 am, Friday and Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 am, and Sunday 12:00 pm to 12:00 am. The Nation's page for the centre publishes no address or phone number, so none appears here. With no published coordinates, it gets no computed distance either. Holiday hours should be checked with the First Nation.
Where VLTs fit
MBLL places VLTs in hotels, lounges and legions across Manitoba. There are hundreds of those sites, and this guide leaves them out. It covers the casinos, Assiniboia Downs and the three First Nations VLT gaming centres on this page. First Nations VLT siteholders follow LGCA terms and conditions.
The machines are not new to the province. VLTs arrived in rural Manitoba in 1991 and reached Winnipeg in 1993. In between, in 1992, the first First Nations VLT siteholder agreement was signed with Opaskwayak Cree Nation. Opaskwayak Cree Nation is also where Aseneskak Casino opened in 2002.
Questions
Do these gaming centres have table games?
No table games are listed. Kiinu, Niichi and Swan Lake First Nation Gaming Centre #7 list VLTs, and Niichi adds a 400-seat bingo hall. None of them lists a poker room either.
Which of the three is open latest?
Kiinu and Niichi, at 2:15 am Monday to Saturday. That closing belongs to the evening before, so Saturday's shift ends early Sunday morning. Swan Lake #7 closes at 2:00 am after Friday and Saturday, 1:00 am after Monday to Thursday. Holiday hours should be checked with each venue.
